I have been teaching at the Early Learning Center (ELC) since 2010.  I grew up in New Jersey, just miles from the Jersey Shore.  I went to Rutgers University and earned a BS in Civil Engineering.  I worked in that field for about 10 years concentrating in storm water management and drainage design.  During that time, I married and moved to Albuquerque, NM.  I took a "career break" when I had my children and enjoyed being out of the office and a stay-at-home mom.

I have two teenagers, Evan and Lindsay.  My husband is an engineer in the semiconductor industry. We moved here from Albuquerque in 2006 and are happy to be back on the East Coast and closer to our families.  I have spent many hours volunteering at my children's elementary school and was a Girl Scout leader for five years.

My daughter went to MPC ELC for two years, and I thought then what a great school this was and what a great place it would be to work.  The atmosphere was always bright, happy and welcoming and the teachers patient, caring and creative.  I began working here when my daughter was in 1st grade.  I was very happy to become part of the teaching profession, since it was something I always wanted to do.

I have worked in many ELC classrooms over the years.  In previous years, I taught our youngest students in Parents' Morning Out, and I felt so lucky to have been able to give them their first taste of preschool and introduce them to the wonderful world that is the Early Learning Center! I am now excited to be working in my role in the office as the Director.
