We are committed to being life-long learners at MPC. Adults have the opportunity to attend Sunday school and bible study during the week.
January 2019: The Transformative Power of Giving Thanks
Are we really grateful? And what would it mean if we were? We know that gratitude is good, but many of us find it hard to sustain a meaningful life of gratefulness. Four out of five Americans report feeling gratitude on a regular basis, but those private feelings seem disconnected from larger concerns of our public lives.
Our Adult Lifelong Learning Class will examine this theme of gratitude using Diana Butler Bass' book "Grateful: The Transformative Power of Giving Thanks." Her work will help you soften the lens through which you view people in your life and the whirling world around us all.
Join us on Sundays in January from 9:40 - 10:40 a.m. as we seek to reclaim gratitude - the virtue that heals us and helps us thrive - as a path to greater connection with God, with others, and with the world.
